Vintage Ink was born to defy conventional winemaking approaches and create expressive and unique blends. Our team of winemakers create wines that are as bold and original as the people who enjoy them. We celebrate all things authentic and handcrafted as expressions of individuality.
Our Winemaker
Derek Kontkanen, our lead winemaker, is a combination scientist-artist who earned his honours degree at the Cool Climate Oenology and Viticulture Institute at Brock University in St. Catharines, Ont. Experimentation is at the core of what he does, we can see his creativity coming to life on liquor barrel aging techniques and unique blends in our portfolio.
Our Labels
Ciara Havishya is the talented tattoo artist and muralist behind the Vintage Ink labels. Ciara is passionate about the connection between tattoos and identity and believes tattoos allow stories to be told through artful self-expression.
